Dante’s Inferno is loosely based on “Inferno” by Dante Alighieri. You take control of Dante and fight your way through the 9 circles of Hell. The game’s graphics are amazing, the CG cut scenes could be right out of a movie and the music is amazing! There are few reaction time moments in the game, but they usually stick to the same few buttons so you get to memorize it pretty well, and fighting is a lot of button mashing! Even so, this game has high replay value due to:
- 1. It being fun to destroy things in Hell.
- Being able to punish or absolve your enemies.
- Depending on which you choose (punish / absolve) you can put points into your Unholy or Holy tree.
The game itself is very short…probably 8 - 12 hours? But the replay is high and there is new content being released for download. Another fact is that the game’s art was designed by Wayne Barlow, who is famous for his depiction of Dante’s journey through Hell in Barlowe’s Infeno (check it out!)
Final Score: 8/10
